"My fence installation was completed today. Your installers, especially Chris, did an outstanding job. They were friendly, professional and meticulous in every detail and made sure I was happy with both the product and the installation. Furthermore, they cleaned up after themselves and left everything in good condition when they left. I am very happy with the excellent service Best Fence has provided with this installation team." - Patrice H.

"You guys were awesome from start to finish. Great to see a company perform so well, doing what you said you would, on time, for a good price." - Erik L.

"I want to take the time to personally thank you and also praise the Best Fence employees for a job well done in a most professional, courteous and friendly way. They are a credit to your establishment. To name a few, the estimator - Jimmy, Deborah Covert who was in contact with me from time to time advising what was scheduled, when it was scheduled and what to expect, Pam, who handled my payment, and last but certainly not least, my actual fence installers, who did a beautiful job. I cannot say one negative thing about the experience. This is actually my second wonderful experience (purchase and install from Best Fence) and I continue to sing your praises. Best fence is a class act - installed a great fence for a great price - it looks awesome and I am sure I will enjoy and be proud of it for years to come. I do and will continue to highly recommend your company for anyone with fencing needs." - Sandy S.

"My experience with Best Fence was excellent.  I'm a very informed and picky shopper too.  I researched buying the material online and hiring someone to install, checked other companies (those that would actually respond) before I got my quote from Best Fence.  It really worked out great." - David H.

The Truth About Wooden Fences and Why Vinyl or Aluminum is a Better Choice!

Wooden fences have been a popular fencing choice for centuries, but did you know they're actually one of the most unreliable styles of fencing?  Fortunately for home owners there are other products to choose from like Vinyl or Aluminum. Continue reading to find out how wooden fences are failing their customers and why Vinyl or Aluminum may be a better choice for you.

Deterioration

Wood is a natural product and like all things in nature, it will eventually decay. The deterioration process is accelerated when you factor in other natural elements like heavy rain fall and high winds, which Florida can be synonymous with. Termites can also be a frequent problem.

Vinyl fences will not chip, warp, split or peel like wooden fences are known to do as a result of weather conditions. They are built solid and sturdy. At Best Fence Company of Jacksonville, we even subject our fences to a 3,000 hour salt spray test, so any fence we install for our clients has the proven ability to withstand the elements.

Repair Costs

As mentioned above, wooden fences are just not reliable. They can require frequent  and sometimes expensive repairs and maintenance, which adds up. A common misconception property owners have is that a wooden fence is often the cheapest way to go.  When you factor in the cost of regular maintenance and replacing panels, wooden fences can turn out to be one of the more expensive options.

An Aluminum fence from Best Fence Company of Jacksonville is maintenance free and will not require replacing, unless there are some very special circumstances. You can sit back and enjoy your Aluminum fence for years without worrying about paying for the upkeep.

Low Aesthetic Value = Low Property Value

Let's face it - Wooden fences are boring. They lack the versatility of a custom manufactured  and fabricated product. Everyone's wooden fence inevitably ends up looking the same with the only difference being which stage of deterioration each one is in. Because of that deterioration, they are unappealing to the eye, often making houses appear older and disheveled. In turn, this kills your property values.

With a custom fabricated Vinyl or Aluminum fence from Best Fence Company of Jacksonville, you will not only have a greater variety of fence design choices to complement your home, but also enjoy the benefit of a fence that has been customized in color and fit for your property.

Vinyl and Aluminum fencing is also a modern and popular choice, as you can clearly see around Jacksonville area neighborhoods like Nocatee, Durbin Creek, Sawgrass, Oakleaf Plantation and many more. Vinyl and Aluminum fencing are the current fence styles that are obviously the most attractive to current buyers and will be more aesthetically pleasing to your neighbors. Best Fence Company will even work with HOA's and Florida building codes to make sure that your fence will be the perfect fit with zero issues.

If you are curious about what Vinyl and Aluminum fence styles are available, check out the dozens of options on our website here. Best Fence Company of Jacksonville even offers free estimates and is happy  to bring product samples to your home, so you will be able to make the most informed decision. Feel free to ask our installment crew questions and contact us throughout the entire fabrication and installment process or with any follow-up questions.

Meet Best Fence's CEO and Owner: Mike Grubbs

Best Fence’s Beginnings

Mike Grubbs began his professional career as a real estate investor. He started adding fences to a few properties, which boosted his sales, and before he knew it, he had fenced over 200 homes in nine years. Increasing curb appeal and property value to homes with quality fences was a trend that was not going away, so Mike decided to transition into the fencing business.

Grubbs founded Best Fence Company of Jacksonville in 1996 with only three employees, one truck and one crew to install fences. Driven by his passion for delivering quality fencing services to residents across Northeast Florida, Best Fence now has over 25 employees and six installation crews. Mike’s early investment paid off and turned aluminum and vinyl fencing into the most popular fence styles across our developing region. Mike has built Best Fence into one of the largest fence companies in Northeast Florida.

Involved CEO

As the CEO of Best Fence, Mike Grubbs is very hands on and works to guarantee his customers are 100 percent satisfied with their custom fences. He personally meets with HOA boards and consults with them on many projects from the aesthetics of the community to which fence style would meet community regulations.

How Best Fence Stands Out

“Since we manufacture our own fences, we’re able to customize fences in a way that’s been unheard of in the industry.” Mike recalls a particular decade-old fence to showcase Best Fence’s customization talents. “We can pull up a fence from 15 years ago, and in our computer, we can fabricate it in the same way it was 15 years ago, and no one can tell where the new fence has been added.” Best fence offers customers longevity and weather resistance warranties with their fences.

Best Part of the Job

Mike Grubbs has a passion for helping people solve problems, whether it’s matching a decade-old fence to helping a customer after a poor fencing installation from another company, Mike is there to make sure his customers love their new custom fence.

Staying true to his passion, Mike has also given back to the Northeast Florida community and has donated many fences over the years to families and communities in need.

Today, Best Fence has designed and built thousands of fences and looks forward to reaching new customers as it expands. See our work now in communities like Julington Creek, Nocatee, Durbin Crossing, Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra and Bartram Springs.

If you enjoy a more subtle approach to your holiday décor, go with these dangling icicle lights for your fence. Icicle lights can add pizzazz to an otherwise plain backdrop. Not only do they look beautiful, but they’re great for tall or short fences depending, on your style.
