Mike Grubbs began his professional career as a real estate investor. He started adding fences to a few properties, which boosted his sales, and before he knew it, he had fenced over 200 homes in nine years. Increasing curb appeal and property value to homes with quality fences was a trend that was not going away, so Mike decided to transition into the fencing business.

Grubbs founded Best Fence Company of Jacksonville in 1996 with only three employees, one truck and one crew to install fences.
