Most Popular Fences in Jacksonville

At Best Fence Company of Jacksonville, we frequently are asked what the most popular fence styles are in Jacksonville. While there are myriad options available with Best Fence, there are a select group that we consider to be both our favorites and very popular choices. These are styles that can be seen already in use all over Jacksonville and St. Johns County, in neighborhoods like Nocatee, Durbin Creek, Bartram Park and all around Northeast Florida. Take a look at some of our top options below and keep in mind many of these options are often available in others colors like black, bronze, white, and tan.

Aluminum - Ascot

This aluminum fence style is a popular choice in Northeast Florida for a couple of key reasons. Not only does it have the smaller railing system at the bottom to help keep small pets inside your yard, but it is also a fence that is frequently built according to Florida pool codes. When building a pool in Florida, you must enclose it with a fence that is meets pool codes. Best Fence Company is very knowledgeable about these pool codes and will help guide you towards the best and proper decision on your pool fence.

Victoria with Quad Finials - Aluminum

If you are looking for an ornamental touch to your fence, many clients opt to include finials, which are the decorative adornments on the top. The Quad Finial pictured here is one of the more popular designs. Finials, like our fences, are available in multiple colors including black, brown, white, and even green.

Baron Picket - Vinyl

Home owners looking for a white picket fence style for their home have enjoyed this Baron style of vinyl fencing. You do not need to use actual wood to get a picket fence look and feel to your yard! Vinyl is much more durable and requires far less maintenance. MANY more picket style fences can be seen here.

Privacy Tongue & Groove - Vinyl

This fence is a popular choice for those who are looking for privacy in their yard. Another reason why people choose this fence is because it will not corrode and is virtually impervious to Florida's hot and humid weather. Vinyl fencing is especially great for homes by the beach since it has surpassed our 3,000 hour saltwater spray test.

Ascot Estate Gate - Aluminum

Best Fence Company of Jacksonville also builds and installs custom fences and gates. You've probably seen our Ascot Estate Gate style around town already. It's a beautiful option to compliment any home. For other gate options, click here.

Choosing the Best Fence for Your Property

Do you want a new fence for your property but aren't sure where to begin? At Best Fence Company of Jacksonville, we can make it easy for you by bringing product samples to your home for you to evaluate first hand, before making any major decisions, along with providing a free estimate. We'll coordinate your fence installation with your builder, pool company and other contractors for your convenience. Your decorative pool fence is guaranteed to pass inspection and meet all code requirements.

The first step is always to determine WHY you want a fence. Is it just to improve your yard's appearance or are you looking for added security or privacy? Continue reading below for some tips and other things to consider when weighing your options.

Helpful Tips:

· Before deciding on any fence, you will need to be aware of your HOA policies. Your neighborhood may not allow fences or at least certain types of fencing. Some HOA policies will specify exactly which materials, heights and other restrictions you will be expected to abide by.

· Be considerate of your neighbors. They will usually appreciate a fence that blends in with their existing fence or does not restrict any pleasant views.

· Do you have any small children or pets? If so, you may want to choose a fence design with a secure enough railing system to make it more difficult for anyone to get out or in and one that also includes a locking gate.

· Know your budget. What are you realistically looking to accomplish for your money?

· Consider environmental challenges. Do you live near the water or in a hot and humid climate? If so, you will want to choose a material other than wood, like vinyl or aluminum, which will not require regular maintenance.

· DIY is NOT always best. Save yourself the headache and potential regrets by hiring a professional team for the installation.

· Pool fences must meet certain national B.O.C.A. building code requirements. You can read more about that here.

· Ask for a referral. If you love your friend's fence, why not ask them who built and installed it? Or have you driven through beautiful modern neighborhoods like Nocatee, Durbin Crossing, or Del Webb and admired any of their fence styles? Those neighborhoods and many others in the Northeast Florida area have all utilized Best Fence Company of Jacksonville.

This advice will certainly get you started on the right path towards completely your fencing project. The easiest step though is contacting Best Fence Company directly at 904-268-1638 for your free estimate and receiving all of the pertinent info and advice that is custom to you and your specific property. You can also starting by browsing a portfolio of select available Ornamental Aluminum and Ornamental Vinyl Fence designs here.

Things to Do This Summer in Jacksonville and Your Own Backyard

Summer is a time for exploration, relaxation and re-connection. You can try that new restaurant in town, tan at the beach, or take a family vacation. There are numerous things you can do, and many of them are right here in Jacksonville and your own backyard. There are places to visit and things to try for every person’s interests. All you have to do is go out and discover them and we have a few suggestions where you can begin.

Jacksonville is known for its range of activities and places for every variety of entertainment needs. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can check out Adventure Landing on Atlantic Blvd. for some family fun with laser tag, a water park and much more. Thrill seekers should check out Autobahn Indoor Speedway, near the Southpoint area, for some adrenaline-pumping fun or grab a group of friends and solve puzzles to escape from The Great Escape rooms at the Town Center.

Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary in north Jax is the perfect place for animal lovers, although I wouldn’t suggest petting these big cats. Sometimes it’s just good to get outdoors for a little fresh air which you can find on Little Talbot Island State Park. The park offers camping, swimming, canoe/kayak launch, running and hiking trails, horse trails, tours and a plethora of other activities for all ages.

Now for those who prefer the comforts of home your actual home’s backyard is the perfect place to be. During the hot summer months, especially if you don’t have the advantage of a pool in your backyard, make your own slip and slide or run around in the sprinklers to cool off. Toss a ball around with your pet in the backyard or have fun with the whole family by creating your own family-style Olympic Games with items from around your home. You can even pitch a tent and spend the night right in your own backyard.

Spending time in your own backyard is a great way to spend your summer but without a fence you may be plagued with worry about your pet, or child, running into the street to catch a ball or having a lack of privacy for your family. At Best Fence Company of Jacksonville we can add beauty to your home and help ease your mind with our affordable and 100% satisfaction guaranteed fences. We offer Ornamental Aluminum and Ornamental Vinyl Fences as well as Puppy Picket Fences to help keep your pet in and unwanted critters out. Our Aluminum Fences are protected against the elements and won’t rust or oxidize. They’re baked twice for extra protection from salt and UV rays that can cause discoloration. If you’re building a new home we can even include the cost of your fence in your new construction mortgage. Best Fence Company of Jacksonville offers the best quality product available and ensures quality service! Call (904)-268-1638 now to get your free estimate. You can visit our website at www.bestfencejax.net for more information on our products and special offers.

You've probably known a dog or two in your neighborhood or even a deer that can jump a fence!

Our Ornamental Aluminum fences are maintenance free and are constructed to withstand Florida’s hot humid, salt abundant climate and our Puppy Picket fences are no different.
